Monica obtained her SSHRC-funded PhD in the Division of Social and Behavioural Health Sciences at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. She is a critical qualitative researcher focusing on the intersections of citizenship and access to health care. Prior to enrolling at U of T, Monica worked in health services research in New York City and completed a Master’s degree in health policy.

She works with students in the ‘Writing CIHR Proposals’ course.
