Abir is a Master of Education student in the Language and Literacies program at OISE. She has been teaching ESL, LINC, and EAP to multilingual learners for many years. She has taught IELTS, Writing and Academic Conversation courses at Humber College and many school boards in Toronto. Her research interests center around bilingual and multilingual education.

With the GCAC, Abir teaches in the Academic Conversation Skills intensive course.
