Dr. Noa Yaari

Dr. Noa Yaari

Noa Yaari holds a PhD in History from York University, where she examined how historians combine words and images in the same argument to describe and explain the past. In this interdisciplinary project, she employed Linguistics, Literary Criticism, and Visual Studies to develop a new framework for verbal-visual rhetoric, which she termed Multiform Grammar.

Her research interests include interdisciplinarity, multimodality, and the intersection of history and AI.  She is also a Communication Instructor at the Institute for Studies in Transdisciplinary Engineering Education and Practice (ISTEP) and an artist.

At the GCAC, Noa facilitates a workshop on interdisciplinary writing.
