Zhen Wang

Zhen Wang is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Toronto. Her SSHRC-funded dissertation examines how risks in the financial market have evolved in the post-2008 era through the behaviors of financial institutions and their interactions with (de)regulation. Zhen holds a BS in Accounting and Finance from Boston University and worked as a tax accountant before pursuing her graduate studies.

At the GCAC, Zhen works as an instructor for the Oral Presentation Skills course and leads workshops related to networking and professional development for graduate students seeking non-academic careers.
